As Senior Accountant, you will focus on a portfolio of companies in the life science sector. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be a member of the team supporting our organization leaders in critical decision making. You will become a valued partner to subsidiary management in supporting a clear picture of their financial position and activities, and bridge that information to key management at the group level. You’ll work among a talented finance team, as well as technical leaders, in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Additionally, you’ll work cross-functionally to ensure alignment, so this role demands great people skills, intuition, facilitation and good judgement. Responsibilities

What you can expect from the position:

  • Gain a deep understanding of the business operations for each portfolio company in AM’s life science portfolio.
  • Have responsibility for managing transactional activity (A/P, A/R, etc.) and performing the periodic financial close procedures for AM’s life science portfolio of companies.
  • Work with a talented finance team with direct access to the Director of Finance and CFO.
  • Opportunity to manage finance department staff team members

Qualifications

What we can expect from you:

  • The ideal candidate for us will be a highly-motivated individual who is truly excited to join our great team
  • 3-5 years of experience in the accounting and/or audit field
  • Prior experience in the life science sector is a plus
  • CPA candidate or accreditation that is maintained current strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge in the general principles of U.S. GAAP is required; Working knowledge of IFRS is a plus
  • Proficiency in NetSuite; Advanced MS Excel and modeling skills are a plus

 Place of Employment: Place of employment will be at our main office in Boston, MA, but minimal travel may be required to various other locations in the US.
