Federated Wireless, Inc. is currently seeking a Manager of Deployment and Field Operations reporting to the General Manager of Deployment. The Manager of Deployment and Field Operations provides project support and leadership to cross-functional teams consisting of members from key business vendors and technical functions to document, analyze, and lead deployment initiatives. S/he represents Federated Wireless on high profile network deployment programs. We expect this leader to bring a level of energy and experience in relentless improvement, development of best practices and implementation of lean processes, quality assurance and project execution. This is a prime opportunity for an experienced deployment manager to make a significant impact on a growing company with a large market opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the resolution of program issues and tracking of progress updates
  • Provides on-time and high quality construction planning and execution
  • Supervises construction progress, ensures quality standards and completion dates
  • Ability to coordinate and integrate staff activities and resources across functional teams to implement strategies
  • Development of statements of work and requests for proposals
  • Monitors and maintains the quality of the execution projects by performing in-process and final quality checks
  • Manage outsourced operations and maintenance of deployed network
  • Interfaces with the company staff and company clients as required to complete projects, clarify project status, and meet customer needs
  • Project Management: Project evaluation, definition/goal setting, project planning and identifying appropriate resources,
  • Delegating work and managing deliverables, analyzing complex information
  • Developing and presenting recommendations to leadership, sharing information with appropriate internal/external constituents
  • Develop and manage relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Manage team responsible for several process improvement projects and/or activities
  • Overall responsibility for ensuring project implementation and/or support within scope of responsibility
  • Accountable for cost and time goals being met
  • Monitors and communicates vendor financial and operational impacts to the operations team
  • Collaborates with cross functional groups including technology, Engineering, operations and finance
  • Operational readiness support, process documentation, communication, project management
  • Analyzes site selection options and makes decisions that balance network quality, cost, and time to implement
  • Provides accurate and timely status reports, ensuring team is fully aware of all issues

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Five to seven or more (5-7+) years of experience in wireless infrastructure or similar technology or seven (7) years of project management
  • Have worked on at least five (5) projects for the full life cycle
  • Ability to identify and understand complex problems/issues and develop solutions
  • Thorough understanding of project management methodologies and cloud based tools
  • Ability to manage multiple commitments simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer/reporting skills, including a high level of proficiency with MS Excel and other database/project management tracking tools
  • Software development and workflow management tools, such as JIRA, Service Desk, Site Traker, and Saleforce.com
  • Familiarity with cloud based Software services
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task and work effectively with limited supervision
  • Highly motivated self-starter able to work under aggressive project schedules
