The Director of Human Resources will report to the CEO and partner with the leadership team to build an exceptional organization of highly engaged and motivated employees who are all passionate about building our company to its full potential. Ideal candidates will have experience proposing, developing, implementing and coordinating company programs, polices, and procedures covering all areas of Human Resources including: recruiting, employee relations, organizational design, performance management, compensation, onboarding and talent management. Self-motivation, teamwork and experience working in a fast-paced, agile start-up environment are highly desired.


  • Sustain and bolster the organizational culture: Hiring, onboarding, training, communications, employee development, recognition, etc.
  • Manage sales compensation strategy/plan
  • Manage equity plan communications
  • Develop and manage performance review process
  • Review workforce planning and Succession management and make recommendations to improve program
  • Develop college recruiting strategy and deep relationships with key partner universities
  • Create a hiring strategy with support of leadership, in line with the organization’s strategy. Ensure minority and female hiring a key component of this strategy
  • Supports coordination of relationships with recruiters to provide services such as search and recruitment efforts, coordination of temporary and part-time employees 


  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree in HRM or MBA preferred. 
  • Certificate in Human Resources Management or PHR preferred. 
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible human resource experience managing all aspects of employee selection, development, retention, and employee relations in various businesses with 2 or more years in a startup
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills, people-oriented and results driven
  • Must be a team-player and be willing to be hands-on with tactical duties with an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Must have broad HR expertise, strong business acumen, and be able to think big-picture and be resourceful in creating solutions
  • Must possess good project management and organizational skills and have strong attention to detail
  • Must be confident in handling ambiguity and fluid situations and have an abundance of common sense and pragmatism
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and statutes which govern policies and practices of hiring, compensation and benefits and general employment
  • Occasional travel will be required in this position as deemed necessary to the growth and expansion of the Company
