    The Technical Director of SysOps/DevOps will lead all deployment, operation and performance management responsibilities for Federated Wireless’ highly available, fault tolerant multi-tenant application service engine. The Technical Director is expected to deliver smooth deployment procedures, implement automation for Continuous Deployment and also be responsible for the day-to-day operational requirements with the help of a team of SysOps/DevOps Engineers. The SysOps/DevOps Engineering team is responsible for defining requirements for monitoring and performance benchmarking solutions and tasked with developing/incorporating the required tools to deliver these solutions.

     

    As the Technical Director of SysOps/DevOps, you will be the primary technical point of contact with customers for all Operational discussions. In this role, you will oversee the handover of services/solutions from Engineering and Partner programs into Production environments. To be a good fit for this position, you should be self-motivated, have strong collaboration skills, direct customer interaction experience, and have experience delivering solutions in a dynamic Agile environment.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Lead the design, development, test, and documentation of the orchestration and deployment framework to manage multi-tenant public cloud-based application services
    • Be the primary technical point of contact with customers for all Operational discussions
    • Develop and incorporate monitoring tools for Operations
    • Lead SysOps/DevOps day-to-day operations, field issues management, and configuration optimization
    • Responsible for service delivery in the Production environment
    • Own all performance analytics for application services, and responsible for providing data for capacity planning and traffic forecasting
    • Manage applications services and ensure alignment to SLA requirements
    • Manage support tickets internally and externally, driving the coordination for RCA determination
    • Deliver customer presentations and lead discussions as required, and incorporate customer feedback into the release management process

     

    Qualifications

    • Strong background in Continuous Deployment of services in AWS Cloud
    • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services, preferably holding an AWS SysOps Associate certification
    • 4-6 years of SOA design, services development, & services deployment experience
    • Operations team management for a Services organization
    • Experience delivering RESTful server and client implementations
    • Experience with Git source code control
    • Experience working in an Agile development environment
    • Excellent oral and written interpersonal skills
    • Strong knowledge of open-source libraries and packages
    • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Performance optimization and performance management in a Cloud Services environment
    • Hands-on experience crafting, implementing, and consuming container-based application services.

    Location/Travel

    • Arlington, VA
    • Up to 30% travel will be required in this position, domestically or internationally as deemed necessary to the growth and expansion of the Company.
