    Allied-Bristol Life Sciences (ABLS) is a joint venture between Bristol-Myers Squibb and investors: Allied Minds, Woodford Investment Management, and Invesco.  ABLS has commitment of $ 110 MM for investment in innovative and transformational science which can lead to new medicines for the patients.  Our disease areas of focus include Oncology, Fibrosis, Immuno-sciences and Heart Failure.  

    ABLS is seeking an innovative professional, with proven experience in Search and Evaluation who enjoys working in a collaborative fashion with teams with diverse expertise in an exciting and fast-paced environment.  The successful candidate will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will be responsible for bringing new investment opportunities from leading Universities and research centers. This person will work closely with University Licensing offices, University scientists, BMS and ABLS team

    This is a 2 - 4 day per week contract position expected to run for 6 months or longer based on the success of the candidate in this position.

    Responsibilities

    • Search and Evaluation from leading Universities and research centers
    • Establish relationships with new research partners
    • Identify trends, new areas of research and new opportunities
    • Present investment opportunities to ABLS
    • Manage due diligence on the projects of interest with ABLS and BMS teams
    • Manage transactions of the Licensing deals working closely with ABLS, AM and BMS teams

    Qualifications

    • PhD in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry or Pharmacology discipline required
    • 10-15 years of relevant experience in a University Licensing office, Biotech or Pharmaceutical companies
    • Experience in negotiations of Licensing Agreements for early stage deals in a University, Biotech or Pharma company
