    Spin Transfer Technologies (STT) is focused on the development of novel magnetoresistive random access memory (MRAM) technologies and devices in collaboration with New York University researchers and industry partners.

    We are currently seeking a Procurement Generalist to join our fast-growing, innovative team. Due to the unique corporate structure, this role will be a dual report to the Sr. Director of Operations and Accounting Manager.

    Responsibilities

    Procurement

    • Own the procure-to-pay process from issuance of purchase order requests up to receiving vendor bills and forwarding to A/P for processing
    • Facilitate purchase order requests for supplies & materials, inventory parts, capital equipment and professional services from various operations groups
    • Review all request documentation for accuracy and budget/approval compliance. Ensure POs are routed through proper approval workflow before released to vendors
    • Maintain record for all purchases and notify appropriate management personnel of deliveries, services coordination and delays, as needed. Follow up with suppliers on timely delivery of products and/or services and status/lead time of outstanding POs
    • Coordinate the receiving of physical shipments of supplies & material against open POs and update PO status
    • Process vendor bills with central A/P function after ensuring proper approvals are in place. Address vendor inquiries as to status of open bills
    • Manage existing supplier account records as well as creating new accounts.

    Asset/Inventory Management

    • Maintain status on supplies & materials inventory levels to avoid shortages and downtime of capital equipment and process
    • Support the Sr. Director of Operations in asset management and record keeping, including supplies & materials, parts and capital equipment

    Other

    • Prepare various periodic status reports for management
    • Ensure adherence to group controls around the procurement and asset management processes
    • Serve as a liaison between company operations and group accounting function

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing or inventory control. A mix of accounting and operations function strongly preferred.
    • Detail-oriented and innovative, with excellent planning, problem-solving, as well as oral and written communication skills
    • Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word. Experience with MS Access and InfoPath is highly beneficial
    • Experience NetSuite ERP system is a plus
    • Able to work in fast paced, startup environment
