    Federated Wireless’ Spectrum Controller, which delivers software-defined spectrum through a cloud-native Spectrum Access System (SAS), protects Federal incumbents with a redundant network of Environmental Sensing Capability (ESC) sensors, and provides a robust set of lifecycle management tools with real-time visibility for optimizing and monetizing Citizens Broadband Radio Services (CBRS).


    The Role: 

    Federated Wireless is seeking an experienced Product Management Executive to lead product planning, development, and operational management for our commercial products and services including the Spectrum Controller. The product is implemented as cloud-native Software As A Service implementation on AWS to enable spectrum-as-a-service and connectivity-as-a-service solutions. Federated Wireless is the undisputed leader of this emerging massive addressable market targeting wireless carriers, cable operators, enterprise Wi-Fi OEMs, and private enterprises. Product distribution is accomplished indirectly through a partner program of pre-integrated technology OEMs and in the future directly through a fully automated self-managed portal.


    • Thought leader and evangelist for Federated Wireless and the emerging shared spectrum technology space
    • Drive product strategy, roadmap, and planning through research, customer feedback, competitive analysis and market requirements
    • Lead multiple product development efforts through the entire development lifecycle process from concept through implementation
    • Define and implement business plan, pricing, product positioning and profitability, partner development, and distribution strategy
    • Track and understand the business behind the products; keeping a close eye on trends in key metrics (revenue, bookings, pricing, renewals, etc.)
    • Work with engineers and other cross functional teams to meet requirements, develop features into products, and deliver successful products to market
    • Manage and extend a large partnership program through the use of portals, automated support tools and market enablement alliances and communities
    • Expand a technical marketing program to enable emerging opportunities for wireless operators, cable providers, edge compute platforms, cloud hyper-scalers, and enterprise technology partners.
    • Lead self-activation and service automation efforts towards a frictionless customer experience
    • Develop and support an expanding team of product management professionals


    • Self-starter with demonstrated experience in launching and growing a technical product or service and growing it to a sizeable volume.
    • Deep technical knowledge of enterprise solutions development in a Saas cloud-native implementation
    • Working expertise with software business models including open source, communities, containerized services, and API-driven environments
    • Operational experience with product management including pricing, positioning, differentiation, support and life-cycle functions
    • Experience building, growing and motivating a team of professionals and with deploying the operational tools and processes needed to support them
    • Background in supporting sales with customer interactions, presentations, proposals and deal closures
    • Working knowledge of the Wi-Fi and LTE is a plus.
    • Relationships development, create communities, participate in tradeshows and overall product evangelism.
    • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or other relevant discipline, or demonstrated applicable experience. An MBA is desirable.


    Location: Arlington, VA or Silicon Valley
